“This is a masterfully written story of overcoming abuse, learning to trust again and the re-opening of one’s heart.  The lead character is smart, classy, sexy and very real.”
– Veronica Jackson, reader review, Amazon.com

For anyone who's ever wanted to follow a favorite teacher home comes this fascinating story that stretches over three books.  Tracy Sullivan, a shy and abused teen from the projects in Atlanta, Georgia, suddenly finds herself at Beck Academy, a posh private school in fancy southwest Fulton County.  Grace Gresham-Nelson, Beck's revered coach and former Olympic gold-medal runner, offers Tracy a chance to join the school's inner circle of privileged athletes.  What Tracy doesn't know about the beautiful and private Miss Grace is that not everything that glitters in the woman's life is gold.

Definitely didn't expect the 1st and 2nd book to keep me interested but it did...now I'm off to read the third now.

So, I guess these books got better as the story line progressed.  This book kept me more occupied than book 1.  It was nice to see Miss Grace opening up with Tracy, but it was still sad to see her messing up her own marriage.  This book takes you on [an] emotional journey.

The author takes you on a roller coaster of emotions.  Throughout different parts of the book I cried, laughed, got frustrated, worried, etc.  Great work by the author!!

Omg!  At first I was like um…This book is not gonna be all that... But the more I read, the more I found myself caught up in each scene.  The words were so vivid it was as if I was actually there!  I laughed, I cried... I’m on book III already.  Definitely a great read!

Walker manages to not only tell a good story, but to take the reader on an emotional journey.  Book two is full of twists and turns, as soon as you think you know what will happen next Walker throws a curve ball.  I look forward to reading the final book of this series.  The story flows very well and Walker impressively illustrates the complexities of the main characters and the issues they face.

This was my first time reading Janet Walker work, and it will not be my last.  I really enjoyed reading this book because it was different from all the other books.  If your looking for something fresh/ different this is the book for you!!!

Great read!  I found this book to be very very interesting.  It has a “precious-meets-coach-carter” vibe.  It kept my attention throughout the whole novel (which is impressive to me considering I’m the type to become easily bored with a book).  I just bought books two and three and I’m excited to see where the story goes.  I also enjoyed reading from the perspective of Grace as well as Tracy.  That definitely made things more interesting.  I would definitely recommend!

Heartwarming story about a young girls battered life.  [There] are times when you wonder or try and guess what’s really going on but just continue reading.  The author gives you an amazing story.  Thank you Janet Walker for a beautiful novel.

Can’t wait for part 2.  A touching and uplifting story about 2 girls abused by those we’re suppose to trust the most, our parents.  The child that was sexually abused is now the teacher of the younger one that was physically abused.  I think the teacher may teach her more than the school subject, like how to overcome and…live thru the terror.

Very good read and very descriptive.  Loved the religious references being that I can relate.  I was also able to FEEL the emotions as things happened with the characters.

Not bad at all so far…I just wished the writer wouldn’t have told us every little thing about Grace’s house from floors to wall and then her office from the wood to the knobs.  Lol.

I enjoyed the first book of Amazed by her grace.  The storyline flowed easily and it provided a good backdrop for the characters development.  It…had plenty of ups and downs.  It had you mad at certain characters and rooting for others….  The cover art was great…[a]nd really made me want to get to the story.

This book kept me captivated until the very last page.  I read all three in the series and it was well worth my time and money.  The characters came alive and I felt real emotion for them...especially for Grace and her husband.  There were a couple of scenes I could do without but 95% of the entire series was well written and the story flowed very well from one book to the next.  The ending was beautiful.  I would definitely read more books by this author.

This was a great read.  An awesome story that kept me captivated the entire time.  Tracy’s story is all too familiar and every one wishes they could have an ‘Amazing Grace Gresham’ in their lives.  I would have switched up the ending (just my personal preference) but great writing nonetheless.  Keep up the great work!

Amazing Grace!  Excellent read.  Volume III was definitely a page turner.  I am really happy for the ending I was truly praying for…them.  Grace’s childhood had not been an easy one, but through “grace and mercy” she was given angels to see her through to adulthood, albeit lots of baggage hidden behind a regal facade.  Her acts of kindness and her “pay it forward” attitude, unleashed a terrible whirlwind in her very, very controlled life.  Or was it.  To not give spoilers, let’s just say Grace needed a metamorphosis so she could enjoy her life to the fullest...something she had not done in a very long time, if ever.  Great read, you will not be disappointed.

Absolutely a must read.  The exploration of the complexity of women’s sexuality was reminiscent of Alice Walker’s The Color Purple.  A beautifully rendered story that demonstrates that love happens on many levels.   – Kya42

Janet Walker is a very descriptive writer.  Her ability to take a story and bring it alive on paper [is] incredible.  At times I had to remind myself that it wasn’t a movie.  She so beautifully gave such detail into the lives of the characters that they become real.  Her attention to details in the settings and time relevant historical information makes it even more compelling a story.  I did not give it a perfect rating because I am left with some confusion and wondering.  By the end of the series I’m still not sure the audience or the intention of the book.  How important is the specific reference to Jehovah’s Witness as the faith setting?  Is this book promoting the idea of homosexuality as an identity?  Does Pastor Charmaine believe there is a place for the homosexual lifestyle in the life of the believer?  What becomes of Tracy Sullivan?
